The Minister's Awards are held annually and recognise the valuable contribution employers in Australia make to providing quality training through Australian Apprenticeships.
The Awards are open to employers in metropolitan, rural and regional areas nationally who train Australian Apprentices.
Nomination process
Nominations open around early February each year and close approximately six weeks later. The details of next year’s Awards have not yet been finalised, but the opening date for nominations will be published on www.australia.gov.au/australianapprenticeships once confirmed.
The Awards
The Australian Government Minister for Vocational and Further Education, presents $5,000 cash, a certificate and a unique trophy to the winning employer in each of the 22 regions across Australia at a national presentation ceremony.

The Queensland Training Awards are proudly presented by the Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA), and supported by a number of valuable sponsors including BUSY AT WORK Apprenticeships Services..
The awards recognise achievements in the vocational education and training sector by rewarding the state's top apprentices, trainees, vocational students, school-based students, training providers, employers and organisations.
With awards contested regionally, successful nominees have the opportunity for recognition within their own regions, as well as the chance to progress to the state level and gain recognition throughout Queensland.
Queensland winners also have the opportunity to nominate for the Australian Training Awards.
The training awards are well recognised within the vocational education and training sector as Queensland's leading awards program, recognising the state's best and showcasing the opportunities available for those wishing to undertake training to further their careers or businesses.
